Voortman has developed today's CNC beam standard drill line using tried-and-true technology. Advantage-2 processes 150 ton of steel per workweek with the most efficient drilling/milling, scribing/taping, and countersinking operations.

MultMaster functions as an extension to the Roller Feed measurement method. This allows for cuts that might otherwise require manual positioning. This accessory makes it easy to process material on a Voortman saw and drill tandem system.

It doesn't matter if a CNC drill isn't able to position a steel fabricator to be competitive in the steel fabrication market. The Advantage-2's ability to process technical files with intelligence, speed and precision is what makes it so special. Each drilling axis can operate with three five-station tools changers. Signoscript's underside scriber and Signomat's part stamping unit can be attached to this drill axis. Part information is preserved even after galvanizing, blasting, and painting. Minimizing shop errors? Check. Advantage-2 uses carbide tooling to drill more holes and is more aggressive than any other drill. High torque drilling instruments have a thicker and more aggressive cut which removes more chips from each rotation. This drill can remove beams, channel and angle tubes as well as flat bars. Advantage-2's processing window is 44 inches wide by 18 inches high.

The CNC Drill Line can not only process columns and beams, but also all steel profiles, including channel, angle and flat bars, base plates, RHS square and round.

The CNC Drill Line not only lays out and drills all your holes in any steel profile in a fraction of the time it takes you to do it manually with a mag drill, but it also lays out the marks for all your welded attachments, virtually eliminating the need for a tape measure.

Z-Reader Probe-- The Z-Reader Probe can be used to locate the surface. It can be used to programmatically or manually. This option is not activated while cutting and is easily retracted. It can be used to verify the surface of each pierce, or to map the entire surface before cutting begins. It starts by initializing or zeroing the device to a surface at the start of a program. After that, it accumulates or tracks any difference.

Voortman offers ongoing training courses on all Voortman Ocean equipment at its Bradley Illinois facility. These courses are both for novice and experienced operators. These courses are designed to help employees leave your shop feeling more motivated, skilled and prepared to take on new tasks. For more information and pricing, please contact us.

Voortman's service technician will finish calibrating your machine and spend time with you, your operators. He will then take them through our easy-to-understand training program. You will receive instruction in:

The ability of milling copes greatly speeds up project execution times. The Advantage-2 user friendly Raptor 3DCAD/CAM tool allows for quick programming. You can inspect, modify, or export part information from within the 3D platform. Advantage-2 drill's biggest benefits are the scribing, ability to mill slots and large lifting hole. This really is what sets this machine apart. The scribing makes it possible to make layout lines, point center and place pieces. It has been fantastic to be able to use it at our convenience and make the right decision.

The CNC Drill Line is easy to use and Avenger workers were the ones who laid the floors. There is no need to know anything about computers, and all training is given during the installation.

Programming the CNC Drill Line, even for operators without any previous computer or CNC experience is straightforward and intuitive.

We have been creating machines and solutions for steel fabricators for 50 years. As a result of the decreasing ability to find qualified labor and rising labor costs we focus on automation. This will allow you to lower your production costs and increase margins. Voortman's CNC Beam Drill Lines will ensure that you have the highest level of productivity, accuracy, and reliability. Our CNC Beam Drill Lines combine many functions such as drilling, marking, countersinking and thread-tapping to maximize productivity and automate your workflow. Voortman offers a complete line of Beam Drill Lines that can be used for any type of production.

Remote assistance cannot diagnose every problem. Frequently, mechanical issues and questions that require the attention of a human eye are still being addressed. Voortman machines come with high-definition web cameras and software. This allows Voortman employees the opportunity to see the installation in action without leaving the office. This webcam is invaluable in countries where English might not be an option or situations in which it may be difficult to communicate effectively.

The programming of the CNC Drill Line can be done intuitively even by operators who have never used a computer or CNC.

Frequently Asked Questions

This can be avoided by using a well-designed concrete beam or increasing concrete's compression strength by adding steel reinforcement to the compression side or by increasing the beam geometry.

T Beam's disadvantages: Because the beam slab is monolithic (rigid), its resistance to lateral shear forces becomes very weak. (cracks develops quickly). This is why T beams are used for high-rise buildings in earthquake-prone areas.

The H beam's cross section is more robust than that of the I beam. This means it can support a heavier load. The cross section of the H beam, on the other hand, can only bear direct load and tensile. However, it cannot resist twisting due to its narrow cross section. It can only bear force in one direction. 1 Jul 2019.

A box (or square shell) is the best shape in 2D for both directions. However, a cylindrical shell, or tube, is more efficient for bending in any direction. The I, or wide flange beam, is better for unidirectional bending.

Because of their small cross-section area (known by the web), I beams require minimal material. However, they can still achieve the desired shape and function to carry out their load bearing duties. This design allows the I beam to bend under stress, rather than buckling.
